STOTT Pilates Certified

Jenny completed her yoga and pilates trainings in 2006 and has been teaching ever since. As a Certified Instructor of both pilates and yoga, she is driven to enable people to achieve their health goals in simple, natural and fun ways! Jenny will be the first to tell you to listen to your body to achieve your highest health, and has discovered that yoga and pilates are amazing choices. She is certified in all pilates equipment (reformer, cadillac, chair and barrels), and specializes in rehabilitating injuries as well as pre and postnatal pilates and yoga.

Jenny began her yoga and pilates journey in Ontario and was fortunate enough to train at Stott Pilates Headquarters in Toronto. Her yoga teacher training took her to the Baja coast of Mexico where she trained with Victor Oppenheimer, one of the few yoga instructors to be trained and certified by B.K.S. Iyengar. In 2007, she fulfilled a life goal and moved out West (where Jenny’s heart truly belongs). Jenny is currently working on her Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga Certification. As Jenny continues to expand her knowledge of different areas of holistic health, she brings her own unique combination of warmth, compassion and enthusiasm to each session.

Hatha Yoga

I was first attracted to Yoga for the physical / health benefits and noticed how I always felt renewed and relaxed after classes. As my practice deepens, the benefits have become more profound and life changing. I’ve been practicing Yoga since 2012 and completed my 200 hour Yoga teacher training at The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga in 2016.

I am excited to offer classes on Pender Island as I continue to constantly learn. I feel honoured to have been inspired and instructed by such amazing teachers at the centre.

Yoga gives us the tools to attain peace, happiness and good health …. all we have to do is practice.

STOTT Pilates Trained

angie head shot.JPG

Angie is thrilled to be bringing her years of teaching experience to the Salish Sea Studio! She recently completed her Mat Pilates training course and chose the Stott Pilates training method due to her personal experience with this particular style and their world recognized educational programs and certification process. Angie is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and also currently teaches Pole and Aerial Arts on Pender Island, B.C.

So why Pilates for Angie? Pilates came into her life when she suffered a shoulder sports injury back in 2014. She was unable to continue her full-time work and was unable to do what she loved most... pole dance. Angie was devastated... She sought out many health professionals to help heal her injury without success. Enter Stott Pilates... Pilates helped her to strengthen and heal her shoulder to even stronger than it was before the injury! It was the difference she was looking for, she was hooked :)

Angie strives to teach her classes with the goal of finding a shared enthusiasm for movement and to increase everyone's feelings of being strong, stable and balanced within their body :)
